Blaine Bovee has a diverse work experience in the mining industry. Blaine started their career as a Mining Engineer at Homestake Mining Company, where they gained experience in various aspects of mining operations. Blaine then worked as an Underground Miner at Centennial Development before joining Centennial Development Inc. as an Interim President, where they successfully led the company through a period of growth and later negotiated its successful sale. Blaine then worked at Obyoshi Corporation as an Air Tool Operator and Getchell Gold as a Senior Mining Engineer. At Getchell Gold, they were responsible for the shaft sinking operations at Turquoise Ridge.
Blaine went on to work at Barrick Gold Corporation in various roles, including Senior Underground Long Range Planning Engineer and General Supervisor. Blaine was also the Underground Project Manager for an underhand cut and fill mine located in the highwall of the Betze-post pit. In addition, they worked at Rio Tinto as a Mine Manager for the Eagle Project and later as a Senior Advisor in Technology and Innovation. At Tahoe Resources Inc., Blaine served as the Engineering Manager during the start-up of the Escobal Mine in Guatemala.
Most recently, Blaine worked at mineSTARTS as a Principal Advisor and Underground Project Director for Phase 1 development of a new underground gold mine. Blaine uncovered significant savings during this project, including modifications to the heading profile size, ground support, and ramp design alignment. Currently, Blaine is working as a Principal Underground Mining Engineer at RPMGlobal.
Blaine Bovee completed a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering from Montana Technological University between 1987 and 1992.
