Xueying Mao has a wealth of work experience. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as a Research and Development Engineer at CSEM, where they researched and developed a new way to detect organic pollutants from water using microfluidic chips. In 2017, they became the Chief Representative of rqmicro AG China Rep Office and a Business Development Manager in China. In 2021, they took on a voluntary role as the Chapter Head of the ETH Alumni Shanghai Chapter, a non-profitable organization acknowledged by the official ETH Alumni Association.
Xueying Mao obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Control Science and Engineering (Automation) from Zhejiang University from 2009 to 2013. Xueying then went on to receive a Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from ETH Zürich from 2013 to 2016. In 2015, they obtained an Expression orale A2-B1 (French) certification from the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich Language Center.
