Steve Binns

Steve Binns has extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Steve began their career in 1994 at Whitbread PLC, where they worked as a Market Research Executive and later as a Spatial Analysis Manager. In these roles, they provided analytical support and developed bespoke systems for property decisions and marketing activities.

In 2000, Steve joined T-Mobile as a Product Manager Network, where they managed the relationship between Marketing and Network Engineering to deliver coverage improvements. Steve also served as a Senior Marketing Analyst, supporting marketing and proposition development through analysis and insight. Additionally, they worked as a Regional Sales Planning Manager, overseeing regional sales and marketing spend.

From 2007 to 2011, Steve worked at Everything Everywhere (T-Mobile UK) Ltd as a Postpay CRM Commercial Manager. In this role, they directed the investment of the retention budget and managed proactive retention activities.

At AstraZeneca, Steve worked as an Innovative Channels Insights Analyst from 2011 to 2015. Steve played a key role in creating and optimizing the Innovative Channels capability to reach healthcare professionals, integrating service calling with sales visits.

From 2015 to 2021, Steve worked at Whitbread again, initially as a Customer Data and Analytics Manager and later as a Data Operations Manager. In these roles, they established and managed teams responsible for customer data, analytics, CRM, and GDPR compliance.

Most recently, Steve joined Jaguar Land Rover as a Data Governance Manager, where they established a data governance policy and standards framework in collaboration with IT, Legal, and Security teams.

Steve Binns completed their A' Levels in Geography and Physics at John F. Kennedy School from 1982-1990. Steve then earned a Degree Bsc.(Hons) in Applied Sciences with a focus on Geography and Computing from Staffordshire University from 1990-1993.
