Lynda Donaldson

Lynda Donaldson is a Senior Conservation Scientist at RSPB, actively engaged in research projects concerning wetland habitats and species in England and Wales since April 2023. Concurrently, Lynda serves as a team member for Homeward Bound Projects and as an Associate Researcher at the University of Exeter, providing technical advice on a project aimed at safeguarding papyrus endemic biodiversity in Uganda. Previous roles include Principal Research Officer at WWT, focusing on wetland species recovery, and Senior Research Officer at BirdLife International, where Lynda supported various science projects. Lynda's early career featured roles such as Field Surveyor for Thomson Ecology Ltd and Science Communicator at Glasgow Science Centre. Academic qualifications include a PhD and MSc from the University of Exeter, along with a BSc (Hons) in Zoology from the University of Glasgow.
