Timothy W. O’Brien

Tim is a senior member of the firm’s Industrial Technology and Innovation Practice. He joined RSR Partners almost a decade ago and opened the firm’s first branch office in Cleveland. Most of his time is dedicated to assignment management and search execution.

In his 30 years in the search profession, he has served a multitude of clients, from large, multi-national corporations, to mid-size industrial companies, to early-stage start-ups. Tim began his career in search with Booz Allen Hamilton. He spent the next several years with Russell Reynolds Associates and rose to executive director. Thereafter, he launched his own search firm in the early 1980s. He ran O’Brien & Company for nearly 20 years. After time working at Heidrick & Struggles, where he was part of the firm’s Industrial and Human Resources Practices, he joined RSR Partners.
