Helen Costello

Helen Costello has extensive work experience in various roles within the transportation industry. Helen is currently the Director of Business Management and Performance at RSSB since 2024. Prior to this, they worked at c2c (Trenitalia c2c Ltd) from 2015 to 2023, where they held positions such as Head of Relationships and Programmes, Head of Franchise Management, Head of Operations, and Programme Office Manager. Before that, they worked at RSSB from 2013 to 2015 as a Programme Manager, where they led delivery of cross-industry strategies and programmes. Helen also worked at London 2012 from 2010 to 2012 as a Fleet Transport Operations Manager, overseeing car-based services for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Helen began their career at Transport for London in 2008 as a Project Manager, where they worked on various projects and implemented a new benefits realization methodology.

Helen Costello obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Language from the University of Leeds, which they completed from 2004 to 2007. Helen later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management from The Open University between 2023 and 2026. In 2017, they also obtained the Management of Portfolio (MoP) Practitioner certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
