Desirée De Leon

Desirée De Leon is a data science educator at RStudio. Desirée previously worked as an intern on the education team at RStudio and as a neuroscience PhD candidate at Emory University. Her research has focused on the associations between individual differences in the genes that code for neurohormones and their relationship to individual differences in social behavior. Desirée has also worked as an illustrator and a 7th grade science teacher.

Desirée De Leon received their Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience from Emory University. Desirée also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience from Indiana University Bloomington. Desirée was the Valedictorian of their graduating class at Munster High School.

Their manager is Garrett Grolemund, Director, Learning. They are on a team with Brendan Cullen - Data Science Educator, Kristin Bott - Data Science Educator, and Garrick Aden-Buie - Data Science Educator.
