Violet Gurgul

Violet Gurgul, PMP, has extensive experience in project management and compliance within the public transit sector. Currently serving as the Division Manager of Project Management Oversight and Compliance at the Regional Transportation Authority of Northeastern Illinois (RTA) since February 2004, Violet Gurgul oversees initiatives that ensure compliance with program requirements and enhances operational performance for key Service Boards, including CTA, Metra, and Pace. Previous roles at RTA include Program Manager for Rail Safety Oversight, where Violet Gurgul implemented a federally mandated State Safety Oversight Program, and Project Manager for Engineering & Technology, managing diverse technology projects. Earlier in the career, Violet Gurgul worked as an Industrial Engineer at Nestle USA, focusing on operational efficiency and change management. Violet Gurgul holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago, earned between 1998 and 2002.
