Laurent Dubus

Laurent DUBUS is a seasoned expert in weather and climate applications, currently serving as Senior Scientist and Lead Scientist at RTE Réseau de Transport d'Electricité since December 2019. With extensive experience as the Founder and non-executive Director of the World Energy & Meteorology Council since January 2011, Laurent is actively engaged in the intersection of energy, weather, and climate. Previously, Laurent collaborated with EDF R&D from May 2001 to November 2019 as an expert researcher, specializing in meteorology and climate science for the power sector. Laurent also contributed to the World Meteorological Organization from January 2005 to December 2018, focusing on seasonal predictions and the social benefits of weather and climate services. Academic credentials include a PhD in Physical Oceanography from Université de Bretagne Occidentale, alongside several degrees related to ocean, atmosphere, and climate studies.
