Kartika Akbaria has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Kartika started their career as a Technical Advisor of Research & Analysis at PT. Tiki Jalur Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE) in 2010. Kartika then served as the Head of Research & Analysis and later became the Head of Human Capital at the same company. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as the Vice President Human Capital, where they designed and conducted strategic initiatives in areas such as organization development and talent management.
In 2017, Kartika joined PT Kudo Teknologi Indonesia as a People Operations Business Partner and later became the VP of People Operations. During their time at Kudo, they led and managed various HR processes and played a key role in the HR integration process as part of the Grab family.
In 2018, they joined OVO (PT Visionet Internasional) as the Head of People Experience, where they partnered with business and tech leaders to drive people strategic initiatives. Kartika also built and managed a team to enhance the overall people experience at OVO.
Later in 2018, Kartika joined Grab as the Head of Organization Development & Culture in Indonesia. In this role, they focused on bridging HR agenda and business needs and served as a strategic partner to technology and business leaders.
Most recently, Kartika has been working at Ruangguru as the Vice President of Human Capital & Corporate Affairs. Ruangguru is a technology-enabled education company in Southeast Asia, and Kartika's role revolves around providing a conducive environment for growth, learning, and meaningful work for the company's over 25 million users.
In addition to their corporate experience, Kartika also has experience as a Director at Balqis Beauty Care, where they managed various aspects of the business, including human resources, marketing, operational, and finance.

Kartika Akbaria completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Industrial Engineering at Institut Teknologi Bandung from 2004 to 2008. Kartika then pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Industrial Engineering & Management at Institut Teknologi Bandung from 2008 to 2009. Following that, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Industrial Management from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology from 2009 to 2010. In addition, they obtained certifications in Assessment Centre Assessor (obtained in 2013), Human Capital Management (obtained in 2012), and Targeted Selection Interviewing (obtained in 2012) from various institutions.
