Weihang Chen, Ph.D CEng MIMechE has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Weihang has worked as a Principal R&D Engineer at Rubberatkins since December 2018, where they are responsible for developing methodologies for fatigue and qualification analysis for elastomer applications. Weihang also oversees the technical delivery of FEA and mentors graduate engineers in the team.
Prior to that, Weihang worked at Expro from 2012 to 2018. Weihang served as a Lead Engineer, providing technical review and approval of analysis related work, as well as offering technical guidance and support to other engineers. Weihang also worked as a Senior Analysis Engineer, leading the resonance fatigue test support project for subsea connections and presenting results to clients. Weihang started their journey at Expro as an Analysis Engineer.
Before joining Expro, Weihang served as a Research and Development Engineer at Temsan Yapı ve Makina Endüstri A.Ş. from 2007 to 2009, where they led the designing and manufacturing of a Francis Turbine. Weihang also worked as a Product Engineer at Hettich Group from 2005 to 2006, where they designed components according to clients' requests and ensured the production followed company quality control systems.

Weihang Chen, Ph.D CEng MIMechE, obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Orta Do\u011fu Teknik \u00dcniversitesi / Middle East Technical University in 2005. Weihang then pursued a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, which they completed in 2008. In 2012, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. Recently, in 2022, Weihang Chen obtained a Master's degree in Data Science from Robert Gordon University. Furthermore, they have additional certifications, including an ANSYS training certificate for "ANSYS MECHANICAL NON-LINEAR" obtained in 2014 from ANSYS, Inc., and an ASME training and development certificate for "BPV CODE SECTION VIII, DIVISION 2: PRESSURE VESSELS" obtained in 2013 from ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers).
