Erik Hoover

Erik Hoover is the President & Chief Operating Officer at VTX Energy Partners, LLC, a Vitol sponsored company operating in the Permian Basin.

Erik and other managers started VTX after the successful sale of Brigham Resources to Diamondback Energy in 2017. Erik was a part of the Brigham team, both Brigham Resources and Brigham Exploration, for almost 20 years, with the exception of one year when he served as Director of Operations for Statoil’s Bakken Business Unit after the sale of Brigham Exploration in 2011. Erik has served in a multitude of roles in his last twenty years, primarily focused in operations. Areas of experience include the Permian Basin, Anadarko Basin, South Texas, and Williston Basin. Prior to joining Brigham Exploration in 1997, Erik worked nine years for Mewbourne Oil Company in various roles and locations including Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.

Erik received a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University.
