Hap Hewes

Hap Hewes has been in the optical industry for over 15 years. Hap started their career at Rubicon Technology, where they held various positions in sales and marketing. In 2004, they were promoted to Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. During their tenure, they helped take Rubicon public on NASDAQ and successfully drove a secondary offering. In 2015, they were promoted to Senior Vice President of Optical, where they re-positioned Rubicon as a leader in higher-margin optical and industrial sapphire markets.

In 2018, Hewes left Rubicon to become the CEO of Pallidus, Inc. Hap successfully turned the company around and increased profits. In January 2022, they returned to Rubicon as an advisor to the Chief Executive Officer.

Hap Hewes has an MBA from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, with a focus in marketing and strategy. Hap also has a BS in biology from Cornell University.

Hap Hewes reports to Timothy E. Brog, CEO. They are on a team with and Mardel A. Graffy - CFO.
