Jia Wei Chen

Jia Wei Chen began their work experience in 2010 with a summer internship in the Sunny S. Zhou Research Lab at Northeastern University. In 2011, they worked as a lab assistant in the Jeanne Hardy Research Group at UMASS Amherst, followed by a research assistant role in the Larry Kramer Trace Analysis Lab, also at UMASS Amherst. In 2011-2012, Jia Wei worked independently in the Young-Cheul Kim Research Lab at UMASS Amherst. Moving forward, they joined The Broad Institute in 2012 as a Research Associate I, specializing in mammalian cell culture and various laboratory assays. From 2013 to 2020, Jia Wei worked at Momenta Pharmaceuticals as a Data Associate, responsible for LIMS administration and infrastructure building. Currently, Jia Wei is employed at Rubius Therapeutics, starting in 2020 as a Data Associate and transitioning to a Data Scientist role in November 2021.

Jia Wei Chen has a diverse education history. They obtained a Certification in Biotechnology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. They also completed two Bachelor's degrees, one in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Chemistry, and another in Microbiology, from the same university. Additionally, Jia Wei Chen pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and a Master of Science (MS) degree in Business Analytics from UMass Boston.
