Senior Robotics Engineer at Rugged Robotics

Vienny Nguyen has over a decade of experience in robotics engineering. In 2006, they began their career as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at The Ohio State University, where they taught solid modeling, basic programming, and problem solving skills to first year students. In 2007, they were an Engineering Co-op at NASA. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at NASA as an Applications Developer for Robotic Operation and a Mechanical Design Engineer in Robotic Systems. In 2017, they joined Houston Mechatronics, Inc. as a Senior Robotics Engineer and Hardware Lead, where they were responsible for the design of dexterous manipulation systems for the subsea transforming robot, Aquanaut. Vienny was also responsible for the hardware development and production of technology systems that improve industrial process, safety, and control. In 2022, they became a Senior Robotics Engineer at Rugged Robotics.

Vienny Nguyen obtained their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2010 and their Master's degree in the same field from the same university in 2012.
