Phillip Chung

Design Director at Rumble

Phillip Chung began their career in 2013 as a Game Designer and 3D Artist at Locanimals, where they designed and balanced combat and characters for an iOS mobile game, as well as modeling and animating 3D characters. That same year, they also took on two TA roles at Carnegie Mellon University, Intro to Maya and BVW 3D Modeling. In 2014, they joined Double Fine Productions as a Game Designer, working on Lua implementation, level design, spreadsheet driven simulations, and balancing the game for tactical combat and strategical gameplay. In 2015, they began their role at Rumble as Design Director, and eventually took on the roles of Lead Designer and Senior Game Designer, managing the design team, maintaining release schedules, coordinating art and engineering tasks, and designing new systems focusing on player retention and monetization in a F2P model.

Phillip Chung attended Carnegie Mellon University from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Phillip then returned to Carnegie Mellon University from 2012 to 2014, where they earned a Master of Entertainment Technology in Game Design.
