Claire Fauquier

Claire Fauquier has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Claire is currently the SVP of Business Operations and Strategy at Running Tide, a venture-backed startup focused on combating climate change and restoring ecosystems. In this role, they oversee People Operations, Finance/Accounting, Real Estate & Facilities, Legal, Strategy, Board Work, and Investor Relations with a team of 10.

Prior to their current position, Claire worked as the Head of Business Operations & Strategy at Running Tide from April 2021 to January 2023. Claire also served as a Principal at Highland Capital Partners from April 2019 to April 2021 and as a Principal at Alpaca VC (formerly Corigin Ventures) from July 2015 to April 2019.

Claire's experience also includes board positions such as Board Observer at The Inside from July 2018 to March 2019, Board Member at Ocean Freight Exchange from July 2018 to March 2019, Board Observer at LoftSmart from January 2017 to March 2019, Board Observer at Perch Interactive, Inc from July 2015 to March 2019, and Board Observer at Meural from April 2016 to July 2018.

Additionally, Claire gained experience as an M&A Strategy & Corporate Finance Intern at Ebury in June 2014 and as an Investment Analyst at Jacana Partners from January 2013 to June 2013. At Jacana Partners, they focused on investing in entrepreneurs and building successful small-to-medium sized enterprises in Africa.

Claire Fauquier has a strong educational background with degrees in finance and management. Claire obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a double major in Finance and Management from The Wharton School, where they attended from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Finance at Dalhousie University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Claire's educational journey began at Havergal College, where they earned their High School Diploma from 2000 to 2004.
