Christina Burger

Christina Burger has been working in the software engineering industry since 2008. Christina began their career as a Tutor for Penguin Tutoring, followed by an Assistant role at the University of Pretoria in 2008. In 2009, Christina was a System Administrator for the University of Pretoria's TechTeam. Christina then moved to SAP in 2012 as a Masters Research Associate. In 2014, Christina started at Derivco as a Software Developer and was promoted to Senior Software Engineer. In 2019, they joined Lever as a Senior Software Engineer and is currently working at Runway as a Senior Software Engineer, where they are reinventing video editing with machine learning.

Christina Burger's education history includes a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, which they obtained between 2012 and 2014. Christina also obtained a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the same institution between 2011 and 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a B.IS: Multimedia from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria between 2008 and 2010, with a focus in Computer Science, Information Science, and Web development. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from IDesign, Inc and Toastmasters International, including an Architect Master Class in February 2019 and Speechcraft in March 2016.
