Matthew Kennedy

Matthew Kennedy is an experienced professional specializing in rural development and environmental health. Since May 2017, Matthew has served as the Regional Contract Manager at the Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC), overseeing a portfolio of grants and contracts to ensure timely and budget-compliant deliverables. Prior to this role, Matthew worked as a Rural Development Specialist II at RCAC, providing technical and financial assistance for water and wastewater systems in Utah. Additional experience includes serving as an East African Refugee Goat Project VISTA with the International Rescue Committee, conducting petrochemical accident research at the Louisiana Bucket Brigade, and various roles at Tulane University, including teaching and research assistance. Matthew holds a Master’s Degree in Global Environmental Health Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, both from Tulane University.
