Philipp Demling

Philipp Demling serves as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Applied Microbiology at RWTH Aachen University since November 2017, focusing on polyphosphate production utilizing baker's yeast, with expertise in process intensification and downstream processing. Prior to this role, Philipp Demling completed a doctorate in Biotechnology at RWTH Aachen University and held various research positions, including a Visiting Postdoctoral Researcher at Massey University and the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability. Philipp Demling has significant experience in bioprocess development, strain engineering, and supervising doctoral candidates and students, alongside contributions to multiple research projects and funding acquisition efforts. Educational qualifications include a Dr.-Ing. and a Master of Science in Molecular and Applied Biotechnology from RWTH Aachen University, complemented by experience at the Joint BioEnergy Institute at UC Berkeley.
