Carlos Herrera

Carlos Herrera has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Carlos is currently serving as the Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Ryan Specialty, starting from October 2022. Prior to this role, they were with Allstate for ten years, where they held the position of Inclusive Diversity Lead Consultant. In this role, they led the Employee Resource Group program and developed strategies for inclusive diversity. Carlos also worked as a Contract Recruiter at Sara Lee and as a Talent Acquisition specialist at Zurich Financial Services. Carlos has experience in university relations, talent acquisition, and diversity and inclusion. Carlos began their career as a Senior Recruiter at TEKsystems/Aerotek/Allegis Group.

Carlos Herrera completed their primary and secondary education at Wheeling High School, earning a Diploma in General Studies from 1990 to 1993. Carlos then pursued higher education at Illinois State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from 1994 to 1998.
