Roger Mellem

Roger Mellem is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience, serving as Of Counsel and Member at Ryan, Swanson & Cleveland, PLLC since February 2006. Prior to this role, Roger was a Member at Foster Pepper PLLC from 1985 to 2006, where Roger chaired the Securities and Complex Litigation Group. Roger began a career in the outdoor education field as an Instructor with Outward Bound from July 1977 to August 1981, and served as Associate Director at 1000 Friends of Oregon in early 1979. Educational credentials include a J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law, a Master of Studies in Law (MSL) from Yale Law School, and dual Bachelor’s degrees from The Evergreen State College and the University of Oregon. Roger is a graduate of South Eugene High School.
