About us:

Rye is a set of commerce APIs that enables developers to profit from selling any product, without the complexities of inventory ownership, order fulfillment, or any other logistics. We want to transform online commerce to allow purchases to be made directly inside of any app - without any redirects.

About the role:

As Rye’s Senior Marketing Manager, you will be the driving force behind our entire marketing strategy - including spreading brand awareness, generating inbound leads, and supporting outbound sales efforts. Reporting directly to the CEO and closely collaborating with our Business Development, Product, and Engineering teams, you'll spearhead efforts to build Rye’s brand in eCommerce.

This role entails crafting short, medium, and long-term strategies while leading the execution of marketing roadmaps from inception to execution. Our ideal candidate will start as an individual contributor with a track to building and managing a team. Success will be gauged by the expansion of our audience and increased GMV for our customers.

What you'll get to work on:

  • Create and adapt marketing strategies according to Rye’s business needs

  • Develop Rye’s brand voice and insert it into everything we do

  • Own Rye’s entire inbound funnel and generate leads for Business Development and Product to close

  • Quickly and effectively execute on projects such as, but not limited to:

    • Create and manage creative marketing campaigns across multiple channels
    • Executing paid advertising
    • Running social media campaigns
    • Coordinating with our Engineering and Product teams on technical and non-technical blogs
    • Create visually exciting content for distribution with a focus on brand cohesion
    • Build processes to communicate company updates to both technical and non-technical customers
  • Establish KPIs, track performance, and utilize data insights to enhance marketing effectiveness

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years in Marketing with a strong emphasis on content marketing

    • Bonus points for experience at eCommerce or API/tech startups
  • Exceptional creative skills with experience in working with analytical counterparts

  • Team player, and the ability to work independently with a remote-first team

  • Experience in budget allocation and maximizing marketing ROI
