Michael Hamilton

Vice President - Corporate Supply Chain at Ryerson

Michael Hamilton has a diverse work experience in the steel industry spanning over 20 years. Michael started their career at Samuel, Son & Co., Limited as an Inside Sales Representative from 1997 to 2001. Michael then worked at XS Steel as a Territory Sales Manager for a brief period in 2001. After that, they joined Namasco Ltd. where they held various roles including Territory Account Manager, Coated Products Manager, and Sales Manager - Commercial from 2002 to 2008. Currently, Michael is working at Ryerson as the Vice President - Corporate Supply Chain, which they started in January 2020. Prior to this position, they held different managerial roles at Ryerson, including General Manager Canada West and General Manager Alberta. Before that, they were the General Manager Carbon Products - Canada and Carbon Products Manager - Ontario. Michael's extensive experience and range of roles demonstrate their expertise in the steel industry and their ability to handle diverse responsibilities.

Michael Hamilton received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Hons.) degree in History from Western University in 1994. Michael then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in European History from DePaul University from 1994 to 1996. Before their studies at DePaul University, Michael attended Western University from 1991 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree.
