Willy Verheyen

Willy Verheyen spent more than 30 years working for Johnson & Johnson research labs developing cellular-, biochemical- and high content screening assays for different therapeutic domains. Several major screening projects that he led went on to become potential drug candidates.

He has significant expertise in the membrane- and intracellular receptors, as well as significant experience with and heightened knowledge for different analytical systems including spectrophotometry, fluorimetry, fluorescence-polarisation, time-resolved fluorescence, luminescence, bio-luminescence, alpha-screen, radiometry, and microscopy. He holds both practical and theoretical knowledge of eukaryotic- and prokaryotic cell culturing and its related technologies as well as a deep understanding of fundamental technologies in molecular biology.
