Maria Xygkaki

Maria Xygkaki has a diverse work history that spans various industries and roles. Maria is currently serving as the Head of Business Development at Saber Astronautics since December 2020. Prior to this, Maria has held several positions, including Director of Business Development at Bayanat for Mapping & Surveying Services LLC from January 2019 to January 2020, and Business Development Manager at Taggle Systems from January 2016 to December 2019. Additionally, they have worked as a Pre Sales Engineer at nearmap from June 2015 to October 2015 and as a Pre Sales Consultant - Location Intelligence at Pitney Bowes from April 2014 to June 2015. Before that, Maria has also worked in roles such as Manager Geologist / Technical Consultant (GIS Analyst) at Subthermal Pty Ltd, Geologist, Mining Exploration - Field Operations at Jupiter Mines, and GIS Analyst and Marketing Manager at Praktiker. Maria began their career as a CRM Analyst at COSMOTE Mobile Telecommunications S.A. in March 2002. Maria also founded and managed GeoScopio, a company that provided geological, environmental, and GIS services, from May 2006 to April 2013, working on various projects in Greece, the EU, and Australia.

Maria first attended Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) from 1992 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Geology (Honours) with a focus on Applied Geology. In 2013, Maria attended Central Institute of Technology for a brief period, earning Certificate II and Certificate III in Mining Field/Exploration Operations, specifically focusing on Mining Exploration. Currently, from 2020 to 2024, they are enrolled at Queen Mary University of London, pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Strategic Management, Successful Leadership, Organizational behavior, Finance/Economics, and Marketing.
