Biniyam Teklu Degefa is an experienced professional in cybersecurity and information security management, currently serving as the Cyber Security Operation Center Manager at Safaricom Telecommunications Ethiopia PLC since February 2022. Biniyam has extensive experience with ethio telecom from December 2010 to April 2022, holding multiple roles including Information Security Strategy and Policy Manager, Strategy Expert, and Security Project Engineer, focusing on the development of security strategies, incident management, and ensuring the protection of information systems. Biniyam began a career at Ethiopian Telecommunication Corporation, working as a Programmer and Junior Programmer II. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from HiLCoE and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from Arba Minch University.
