Danny Varat

Danny Varat has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Danny is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Safe Harbor since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at A Child's Haven as the Chief Operating Officer, where they oversaw internal operations, managed business relationships, and led expansion activities. Before that, they worked as an Education Consultant at Greenville County First Steps and served as the Chief Of Staff at the Office of Lieutenant Governor, State of South Carolina. Danny also held the role of Director of External Affairs at the SC Retirement System Investment Commission and Director of Research at the South Carolina Senate. Additionally, they worked as a College Instructor at various universities in Upstate SC and held an executive management position at Varat Enterprises. Danny Varat has a range of experience in leadership, operations, education, and management.

Danny Varat received their Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Furman University, which they attended from 1986 to 1988. Danny then pursued a Master of Arts degree in History from Louisiana State University, completing it from 1992 to 1994. Later, Danny Varat earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in History from the University of Mississippi, where they studied from 1997 to 2002.
