Lona Alia

Lona Alia is currently the Head of Revenue at SafetyWing. Lona has extensive experience in sales, having previously worked as the Regional Sales Director at Rendia, Inc. from January 2005 to December 2010. During their time at Rendia, they were responsible for generating over $2M in sales and was consistently ranked as the #1 sales producer. Lona was also chosen to represent the company at all domestic and international trade shows and medical conferences due to their high performance and strong networking abilities.

From 2011 to 2014, Lona worked at Founders Pledge, a global organization that helps entrepreneurs donate a portion of their proceeds to charity. In their role as a Senior Associate, they were responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies, as well as managing a portfolio of over 200 clients.

Lona then transitioned to the fashion industry, working as the Operations Manager at Style Lend, a luxury fashion rental platform, from 2014 to 2015. In this role, they oversaw all aspects of the company's operations, including inventory management, customer service, and logistics.

Most recently, Lona worked at 500 Startups, a global venture capital firm, where they were responsible for investor relations and fundraising. Lona also served as a mentor for startups in the 500 Startups accelerator program.

Lona Alia's educational career began with their attending Y Combinator in the winter of 2014. Lona then went on to earn their Bachelor of Science in Marketing from The George Washington University School of Business. Finally, they completed their Master of Business Administration with a focus in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Hult International Business School.

Lona Alia works with Erifili Gounari - Head of Social Media, Laura Scott - Head of Marketing for Remote Health, and Hans Kjellby - Co-Founder & COO. Their manager is Sondre Rasch, Co-Founder & CEO.
