Giovanna Copstein has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Giovanna started their career as an intern at CREA-RS in 2012, where they gained valuable experience. In 2015, Giovanna volunteered at Greenpeace Brasil, demonstrating their commitment to environmental causes. Giovanna then joined Amnesty International in 2016 as a Refugee Research and Human Rights Education Officer. Simultaneously, they served as a Team Leader and Social Media Editor at Beachfront Hostel until 2019. From 2019 to 2020, Giovanna worked as a Document Analyst at Portugalis. Currently, they are a Partnerships Manager at SafeUP - Women's Safety Net, a role they have held since June 2021.

Giovanna Copstein holds a Master's degree in Security and Diplomacy, which they obtained from Tel Aviv University from 2015 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul from 2010 to 2015. Additionally, they received a certification in Project Management Simplified from LinkedIn in January 2023.
