Greg Metchikian has over 30 years of experience in the Heavy Civil construction industry. Greg started their career in 1991 as a Union Carpenter, working on various projects in Southern California. In 1997, they became a Safety Engineer at Tutor-Saliba Corporation, where they developed safety plans, conducted training, inspections, and accident investigations for multiple projects. In 2004, they joined Safework, Inc as a Safety Manager, providing loss control services to a major insurance client and offering training and safety inspections in Southern California. Throughout their tenure at Safework, their roles within the organization expanded, eventually becoming Vice President, Safety Services - Sr. Vice President in 2010. In 2012, they became the Vice President of Operations & Safety, and in 2015, they were promoted to Executive Vice President. Currently, Greg serves as the Vice President of Transportation & Safety at Safework, Inc, responsible for developing and implementing business plans, overseeing proposals, and reporting to corporate leadership.

Greg Metchikian attended Notre Dame High School from 1979 to 1983. Greg then went on to study International Relations at the University of Southern California from 1983 to 1988. In addition to their education, Greg has obtained two certifications: SMS - Safety Management Specialist from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in June 2017 and Construction Safety & Health Technician from the same institution in December 2011.
