Jonathan Cespedes

Jonathan (a.k.a Jon) is the Chief Financial Officer or CFO. Jon is passionate about mission-driven companies that are on a Journey to Better and look to make a difference for the bodies, soul, and the planet. Jon joined Saffron Road because of his unwavering belief that Saffron Road is uniquely positioned as it provides consumers with Better For You, Clean label and authentic World Cuisines that celebrate different ethnicities, races, and religions that have a common denominator: the love of culinary excellence.

Jon has over 20 years of experience in the CPG industry within the US and Canada and brings expertise in Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain. He spent 12 years with Kraft-Heinz and subsequently Mondelez, where he had senior roles and supported strategic initiatives such as SAP implementation and North American Supply Chain Reinvention. He also served as VP of Finance Operations at KIND Snacks for almost 5 years, where he was a direct report to KIND’s COO, CFO and partnered with the leadership team to drive process improvements such as IBP and to deliver material margin enhancement initiatives that contributed towards significantly improved KIND’s operating results, driving up EBITDA for a successful exit to MAR’s. Most recently, he led the Finance team at Billie, Inc. a Direct-to Consumer company which was acquired by Edgewell. Jon has an MS in Finance and is also a CPA & CMA.
