Ahmad Jafar has over two decades of experience in the banking and risk management sector. Currently serving as the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Head of Credit Risk, Portfolio & Risk Policies Division at Safwa Islamic Bank since February 2011, Ahmad is responsible for overseeing key risk management frameworks, including acting as the IFRS 9 project manager. Prior to this role, Ahmad was a Senior Manager in the Risk Architecture Division at Bank Al Jazira from October 2005 to January 2011 and served as an Assistant Operations Manager at Islamic International Arab Bank in Amman, Jordan from August 2000 to October 2005. Ahmad Jafar holds a Master's degree in Accounting from Amman Arab University (2002-2004) and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with an excellent rating from Al-Ahliyya Amman University (1996-2000).
