David Eklund

David Eklund is an experienced software engineering leader currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at SAGA Diagnostics since September 2024. Previously, David held the position of Director of Software Engineering at Xilis from November 2020 to September 2024 and served as a Technical Lead and Senior Software Engineer at Varian Medical Systems following its acquisition of Mobius Medical Systems, where David contributed to scientific software development for radiation oncology. Earlier roles include Research Software Engineer at Mobius Medical Systems, Senior Software Engineer at Numerate, Inc., and development of DSP algorithms at EmSense Corporation. David's technical expertise extends to developing computational physics algorithms and optimizing complex software systems, with a foundational education in Computational Engineering Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
