Ben Barfus

Ben Barfus, CPA/CMA has a diverse and extensive work experience in various finance and accounting roles. Ben has served as the CFO at Sage Fruit Company since 2023.

From 2015 to 2023, Ben worked at Hopsteiner, where they held consecutive roles as Director of Finance and Controller for the Northwest Operations. In these positions, they managed financial operations for multiple divisions across different locations, including responsibilities in AP, AR, and payroll management.

From 2012 to 2015, Ben worked at Deardorff Family Farms as the Director of Finance/Controller. Ben was responsible for overseeing AP, AR, and payroll functions, as well as administering HR and IT functions within the company.

Ben Barfus, CPA/CMA, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Professional Accounting, which they obtained from Utah State University in 2003. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting, also at Utah State University, in 2002. In addition to their educational background, Ben Barfus has also obtained certifications as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from the IMA and as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the State of Utah.
