John Aylward's work experience begins in 1996 when they worked as a Stock Boy at PharmHouse. John then held an internship position at IBM from 1998 to 2000. In 2000, they worked as a Cook at Denny's and also started volunteering as a Technical Volunteer at Niagara Falls Vineyard. From 2000 to 2003, John was a Student Union Building Manager at the University at Buffalo. In 2002, they had a Junior Developer Internship at IBM. Starting in 2003, they worked as a Software Developer at Remarketing Services of America until 2004. John then joined Datatel as a Software Engineer from 2004 to 2006. Subsequently, they worked at SageNet, initially as a Software Engineer and later as a Senior Software Engineer, starting in 2006. At SageNet, John was involved in several projects such as designing and implementing a Telecom Expense Management (TEM) bill consolidation platform, developing a web-based application to manage technician workloads and inventory, and working on company unification. John also managed network services monitoring and alert aggregation.

John Aylward attended Spackenkill High School from 1995 to 1999 and obtained a Regents High School diploma. After completing their high school education, they enrolled at the University at Buffalo in 1999. John pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science and Engineering and graduated in 2003.
