Michelle Alexander

Michelle Alexander has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Michelle currently holds the position of Director of Social Impact at Sagent, a role they have held since April 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal at Starboard Strategies from March 2013 to April 2021. Michelle also served as the Director of Organization Development & HR at Perfect Union from 2016 to 2020. Michelle was the Community Resource Director at DDSO - Developmental Disabilities Service Org from November 2014 to May 2016. Michelle's previous roles include Executive Director at Arts & Business Council of Sacramento from 2008 to 2015, Operations Consultant at I Can Do That! in 2013, Founder and Event Director at Creative Events from 2005 to 2009, and Director of Talent & Entertainment at DIG Music from 2002 to 2004.

Michelle Alexander has a diverse education history. Michelle attended the Academy of Art University, where they studied Sculpture and Interior Design. Michelle also pursued a field of study in Psychology at Diablo Valley College and studied Music Business and Small Business Management at American River College. Michelle furthered their education in Nonprofit Management at the Nonprofit Resource Center and Arts Capacity Development Series at the Sacramento Region Community Foundation.

In addition to their formal education, Michelle obtained several certifications. Michelle completed the Talent Acquisition Specialty Training from the Society of Human Resources Management in 2019. In 2016, they obtained a Mindfulness Certificate from the University of California, Berkeley. Michelle also holds a certification as a Divine Spark Meditation Certified Practitioner from the Divine Spark Center.
