John Lummis

As President of Soncy Capital, John invests in and consults with insurance companies, intermediaries and service providers in the P&C sector. Previously, John was COO and CFO of Renaissance Re. He has been a consultant to private equity and hedge funds and was CEO of AQR Re, the reinsurance business of investment manager AQR. John has served as a board member at a range of public and private companies, including Capital Guaranty, Capital Re, DaVinci Re and others. Institutional Investor recognized John as one of the insurance industry’s leading CFOs. He holds a B.A. from Stanford University and a J.D. from the University of Michigan.
