Marcia Varda Mshrd

Marcia Varda has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Their most recent position is Director of Human Resources, Commercial Building Envelope at Saint-Gobain North America, where they collaborate with senior leadership to implement the People Strategy across multiple business units. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Human Resources at Saint-Gobain Glass NA and Commercial Solutions, working closely with general managers to develop and execute people strategies and acting as the HR liaison for the global businesses. Marcia has held various HR leadership roles within Saint-Gobain, including VP Talent Management, NA and Director HR for SGR North America and CertainTeed NA R&D. Before joining Saint-Gobain, they gained valuable experience at General Electric Healthcare as a MultiSite HR Professional, overseeing HR functions for multiple biotech/life science sites, and at TJX as an AVP and Manager of Human Resources, responsible for supporting field organizations, distribution centers, and labor relations. Marcia also held positions as an HR Manager at Elkhart Products - Amcast, Modine Manufacturing Company, and Textron Fastening Systems. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated a strong focus on talent management, organizational design, employee development, diversity and inclusion, compliance, and workforce planning.

Marcia Varda MSHRD, SPHR, SHRM-SCP earned a Master's Degree in Human Resources Development from Villanova University in 2017. Marcia Varda previously obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business with a focus on Industrial Relations/Personnel from Indiana University South Bend in 1989. In 1999, they acquired a Certificate in Negotiating and Administering the Labor Contract from the University of Michigan.

In terms of additional certifications, Marcia received the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM in December 2015. Marcia Varda also obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification from the HR Certification Institute in 2001. Other certifications include True Colors Certified Facilitator from True Colors International in 2014, and Leadership Styles and Climate as well as Hay 360 Feedback from Korn Ferry.
