Instructor, Criminology & Criminal Justice & Crime Analyst, Olympia Police Department  at Saint Martin's University

He had worked in the criminal justice field for over 20 years serving in various capacities of research, teaching, and investigations. In 2004, He joined the Olympia Police Department as its first Crime Analyst. his role has evolved and expanded into a subject matter expert for local and national government agencies in areas of domestic terrorism and gangs.  

In 2010,

He joined the faculty at Chapman/Brandman University as the primary instructor in the Criminal Justice Department. In 2020,He also joined the faculty at Saint Martin’s.  As an instructor I’ve taught close to 10 different courses, mostly criminal justice courses. In 2017, He was awarded Faculty of the Year at Brandman University and also served as the commencement speaker at graduation.  

He is passionate about teaching and have always sought ways to add teaching and education into his life’s work. In addition to the two positions above, from 2008 – 2014, He also owned a consulting business where He spent thousands of hours teaching and training a variety of audiences from elementary and high school administrators and educators to police officers about street gangs and other issues within the criminal justice field.
