Kong Tran

Kong Tran is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the aerospace sector, currently serving as Chief Engineer at Salient Motion since May 2025. Prior roles include Principal Engineer at Virgin Galactic, where responsibilities involved leading the flight control actuation team and developing EHA solutions for primary flight controls. Tran previously worked at Parker Aerospace for nearly 17 years in various capacities, including Engineering Manager, overseeing the design and development of hydraulic flight control systems, and contributing significantly to key military aircraft programs such as the F-35. Earlier, Tran served as a Design Engineer at Honeywell, holding a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and an MBA from Webster University.
