Scott Hopkins

Senior Director Of Cloud Architecture at Sallie Mae

Scott Hopkins has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Scott started their career at Sallie Mae in 2000, where they served as the Director of Application Development. In this role, they played a key role in refining existing business strategies and developing new products. Scott also supervised a large team both onshore and offshore. In 2011, Scott joined USA Funds as the Director of Application Development and Enterprise Architecture. During their time there, they implemented a new product line for managing default rates and significantly reduced outcall service costs. In 2016, Scott returned to Sallie Mae and held various positions, including Director of Cloud Architecture and Senior Director of Cloud Architecture.

Scott Hopkins attended IUPUI from 1997 to 1999 but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. From 1981 to 1983, they attended the Kentucky College of Technology and obtained an Associate degree in Electrical Engineering. Currently, Scott is pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Science at Western Governors University, starting in 2019. Additionally, they obtained the certification of Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in October 2015.
