Simon Goldenberg

Assistant General Counsel at Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community

Simon Goldenberg serves as the Assistant General Counsel for the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community since July 2022, following a previous role in the same capacity for the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation. With extensive experience in drafting and reviewing contracts for government agencies and advising tribal committees on codes and policies, Simon has built a solid foundation in Native American law and rights. Prior law clerk positions include working for Rothstein Donatelli, where court documents were crafted on child welfare issues, and assisting various legal services focused on tribal law. Academically, Simon holds a Doctor of Law from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Arts from The University of British Columbia, specializing in First Nations Studies and English Literature.
