Freddy Ndou holds a BA in Communication Science from the University of South Africa, a National Higher Diploma (T4) in Electrical Engineering from Technikon Witwatersrand (now University of Johannesburg). He has completed an Advanced Management Programme from Harvard Business School, a Global Executive Development Programme from Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) and the Graduate Programme in Utility Management from Samford Business School.
He is a seasoned Corporate Executive with specialisation in strategy and planning with more than 25 years in the energy industry. He has experience in both General Management, Strategy Development, Corporate Planning and Project and Programme management with extensive experience in product development and commercialisation. His engineering background rounds off his balanced profile. Freddy has been a Divisional Executive – Strategy Support at Eskom Holdings with a primary responsibility of leading and developing the Eskom Strategy, Corporate Plan, Shareholder Compact and development of company mandates; and for ensuring alignment of subsidiaries and all divisions to Eskom strategy and plan until December 2018.
