Huiqi Victoria Hau Yong Ng

Huiqi Victoria Hau Yong Ng is an experienced addictions counsellor currently working at the Salvation Army Centre of Hope since January 2023, focusing on client care within the Withdrawal Management unit. Prior roles include an internship with the Mental Illness Awareness and Support Association (MIASA) in Malaysia, where responsibilities involved conducting literature reviews and assisting in grant applications, as well as serving as a moderator for mental health awareness events. Huiqi also has a background as a Peer Assisted Study Session Leader for psychology and biology courses at the University of Newcastle and experience in project management and event coordination with various organizations. Educational qualifications include multiple Ontario Graduate Certificates in Addictions and Mental Health, and Autism and Behavioural Science, as well as a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) from the University of Newcastle.
