Gabriele Sotto

Gabriele Sotto worked as a Junior Data Scientist at BTData - BTO S.p.A. Group from September 2017 to June 2018. They then joined NTT DATA Italia as a Data Scientist from June 2018 to January 2020, where they focused on projects related to NLP, IoT predictive maintenance, and architecting Machine Learning pipelines in Big Data environments. From January 2020 to January 2023, Gabriele worked at Cerved Group Spa as a Data Scientist, working with custom Machine Learning models and NLP systems on Cloud using AWS SageMaker and Lambda. They are currently working as a Lead Data Scientist at FERRAGAMO, starting in January 2023. Additionally, Gabriele has been involved as a Co-Organizer since May 2019 at PValue - Data Science Meetup Pavia, organizing events on Data Science, Machine Learning, and Big Data.

Gabriele Sotto earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Università di Pavia, completing this degree from 2010 to 2014. Gabriele then pursued a Master's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering, with a focus on Machine Learning and Data Science, also at Università di Pavia, from 2014 to 2016. Prior to their university education, Gabriele attended Istituto L.Cobianchi from 2005 to 2010, where they studied Biology. In addition to their formal education, they obtained additional certifications, including Practical Data Science on the AWS Cloud Specialization from Coursera (year not specified) and Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera in 2021.
