Karim El Kanbi

Karim El Kanbi is a seasoned professional in the fields of machine learning and data science, currently serving as Principal ML Engineer at Sama Therapeutics since 2023. Prior to this role, Karim held the position of Head of Data at INBRAIN Neuroelectronics from 2021 to 2024 and served as Senior Data Scientist at Dreem from December 2019 to December 2021. Karim's academic background includes a PhD in Neurobiology and Behavior from ESPCI Paris - PSL, and prior roles include Research Scientist and Software Engineer at Dreem and software engineering at LCEO Technologies. Karim’s research experience at ESPCI Paris focused on the characterization and regulation of slow rhythms of NREM sleep within the Brain Plasticity Unit.
