Sean Parks is currently a Machine Learning Engineer at Sama Therapeutics since November 2023, while also serving as a Graduate Student Researcher in the mechanical engineering department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) since January 2022, focusing on bio-interfacial engineering research in the Varanasi Lab. Previous experience includes volunteering in the Emergency Department at Massachusetts General Hospital and conducting research in computational neuroscience at Boston Children's Hospital, where infrastructure for analyzing large fMRI datasets was developed. Sean has also engaged in various undergraduate research roles at MIT, exploring areas such as graphene membrane transport properties, multiphysics simulations of radiation damage, space propulsion, and magnetic reconnection for nuclear fusion applications. Educational qualifications encompass a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mechanical Engineering and a forthcoming Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both from MIT, along with a medical education at the University of Michigan Medical School commencing July 2024.
