Baris Soybilgen

Baris Soybilgen is a seasoned data professional with extensive experience in data science and analysis. Currently serving as a Data Scientist at Sambla since December 2022, Baris previously worked as a Data Analyst at the Governance and Local Development Institute from January 2022 to December 2022. Baris also has a notable background at the Center for Financial Studies as a Data Scientist/Researcher from September 2015 to January 2022 and held an academic position as an Assistant Professor/Lecturer at Istanbul Bilgi University during the same period. Earlier experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at Bahcesehir University Center for Economic and Social Research (Betam) from October 2010 to August 2015. Baris holds a PhD in Economics from Istanbul Bilgi University, an M.A. in International Economics from the University of Konstanz, and a B.Sc. in Systems Engineering from Yeditepe University, along with a brief academic stint in Industrial Engineering at Montana State University-Bozeman. Early education was completed at Kadikoy Anatolian High School.
