Sadhbh Connor

Sadhbh Connor has a diverse work experience in various industries. Sadhbh'smost recent position was with samdesk as the Europe lead for the Ukraine Working Group, where they oversaw coverage of the war in Ukraine and contributed to the development of a playbook and standards for coverage. Prior to that, they worked as a Crisis Intelligence Analyst and Data Intelligence Analyst at samdesk, specializing in French and Spanish languages.

Before joining samdesk, Sadhbh worked as an Adventure Coordinator at Wilderness Ireland, where they organized and executed trips for clients and managed relationships with vendors. Sadhbh also worked as a Chef at Little Cottage and as a Group Operations Manager at Brother Hubbard, where they were responsible for digital marketing and the day-to-day running of the business.

Sadhbh has experience in the media industry as well, having worked as an Editorial Contributor, Sub-Editor, Website Editor, and Editorial Assistant for various publications, including Hospitality Ireland and ESM (European Supermarket Magazine). Sadhbh has also worked as a Public Relations Communications Intern at Conradh na Gaeilge.

Throughout their career, Sadhbh has demonstrated strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, and proficiency in multiple languages.

Sadhbh Connor completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Journalism and Irish language, Communications and Media at the Dublin Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2010. In 2009, they also attended the University of Lincoln, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Journalism.

Additionally, Sadhbh has obtained several certifications. In April 2023, they received a GIS Basics Certificate from Esri and completed a course on Terrorist Financing at the Basel Institute on Governance. In February 2023, they completed courses on "Automate the Boring Stuff with Python Programming" from Udemy and "Intro to Key Global Development Challenges" from The Open University. In January 2023, they acquired a certification in Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) from the Basel Institute on Governance. In September 2021, Sadhbh completed a course on "Excel: PivotTables for Beginners" on LinkedIn. Lastly, in April 2020, they achieved a CELTA - Class A Grade certification from International House Madrid.
